Economic Research Center (ERC) has been established within the Department of Economics of Eastern Mediterranean University in 2002 for the purpose of promoting research into contemporary economic and social problems both at micro and macro levels. The mission of ERC is to undertake research in order to contribute to the economical developments within North Cyprus and the region of Middle East. Center aims to provide theoretical and applied research opportunities for interested researchers including PhD students and teaching assistants related with the economic and social problems of the country, region and the world.
ERC undertake, facilitate and organize research projects, conduct surveys, organize databases, conducting economic analysis and producing reports, organizing seminars and courses within and outside of the university. Center can publish the reports, analysis and the materials produced at the end of an activity to share with academia.
Structure of ERC
ERC established within the Department of Economics. It is directly responsible to the Department. Center has a Director and an Executive Board consisting of four members. Director is responsible for the management of the Center and is elected for a term of three years. Director also chairs the meetings of the Executive Board.
